Denver Broncos vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Denver Broncos have the most explosive offensive unit in the NFL and are the best team in the league overall. The undefeated Broncos are a safe pick against anyone while playing this well, but a meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars is an absolute lock.
Not only does Jacksonville have to travel to Denver to play in the high altitude, but the team also has to square off with a Broncos offense that has scored at least 37 points in every game this season and 49 or more points in three of those matchups.
Add in Jacksonville allowing at least 34 points in each of the last three games, and Denver will destroy the Jaguars in lopsided fashion. As long as the Broncos defense steps up after a porous performance against the Dallas Cowboys last week, this will be the biggest blowout of Week 6.
Predicted Final Score: Denver 52, Jacksonville 17
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Eagles are dealing with a hamstring injury to quarterback Michael Vick—Nick Foles will likely get the start Sunday, according to Phil Sheridan of ESPN.com—but there is still less drama in the Philadelphia locker room than Tampa Bay’s.
Not only was former starting QB Josh Freeman cut by the team since the Buccaneers’ last game, but the newest report from Tom Pelissero of USA Today claims that the NFLPA believes it was head coach Greg Schiano who may have leaked private information about his player.
If Tampa Bay players are losing trust in the leader of the team, rookie Mike Glennon won’t have a chance to shine as the Buccaneers roster around him implodes. With the Eagles continuing to improve each week, this should be a lopsided loss for Tampa Bay and key win for Philadelphia in the putrid NFC East.
Predicted Final Score: Philadelphia 30, Tampa Bay 12
Houston Texans vs. St. Louis Rams
This is the biggest game of the season for the Houston Texans. With quarterback Matt Schaub getting the start despite throwing nine interceptions through the first five weeks of the season, the team will rally together to dismantle the St. Louis Rams.
Schaub is a talented quarterback who is hitting a tough stretch of his career. Instead of abandoning their teammate, the Texans will fight for him and use the elite defense and eighth-ranked run offense to give him to chance to shine.
With St. Louis allowing a 17th-worst 256.4 passing yards per game, expect wide receivers Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins to step up huge to help Schaub return to elite form and bring Houston back into playoff contention.
Predicted Final Score: Houston 34, St. Louis 13
