Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
- Corey Graham will contend for Bears' free saftey spot, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Craig Steltz and Kevin Payne started at saftey, while Josh Bullocks and Graham were the second-teamers. Graham had been providing depth at cornerback and competing with Danieal Manning and D.J. Moore for roles.
- The San Francisco 49ers are hosting free agent cornerback Dre' Bly, the Press Democrat reports. Brian Kelly is also scheduled to interview with the team. If a cornerback is signed, he would have to compete with Shawntae Spencer and Tarrell Brown to replace Walt Harris.
- The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent safety Keith Davis, according to Scout.com. Davis spent his entire career up to this point with the Dallas Cowboys. He should compete with Michael Mitchell and Michael Huff for a starting safety spot. This could also signal that the Raiders are ready to release former first-round draft pick Huff.
- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets could be interested in signing Plaxico Burress, NFL.com reports. Burress has spent his last couple of seasons in New York, but before that he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has a big frame, and great hands, but he struggles with on- and off-the-field issues.
