Video of Kobe Bryant and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Chatting Is Delightful
October 11, 2013
No biggie—it's just Kobe Bryant and Floyd Mayweather Jr. shooting the bull.
There is nothing noteworthy or special about you and your buddy chatting it up about absolutely nothing this weekend. However, when two sports legends are in the same room talking, it's worth a watch.
Ball Over All noticed the two legends engaged in a water cooler moment after the Los Angeles Lakers' recent preseason game at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Here is the NSFW video of that exchange.
Do we discover any great secrets when masters of the court and the ring unite in some back hallway at the MGM Grand? Not really.
Consider this your fly-on-the-wall moment that illustrates sports stars and millionaires are just like everyone else—except the subjects they talk about vary from what you may have chatted about with your coworker today.
Now, if you found time during a coffee break to talk about your boxing match holding up in 20 years, the upcoming trip to China you have with the rest of the Lakers and all those damn haters, I take that back.
If you are looking for interesting tidbits, I rather enjoyed the exchange about China. Mayweather recalls a team that played an exhibition there once against a Chinese team. Bryant reminds him that it was Georgetown, and things didn't go so well.

However, Bryant did provide a giggle moment when he stated, "You know what? They let you play over there too. It's more physical over there; they let you play. Out here, they change the rules up and [naughty expletive deleted], you can't even touch a mother [funny expletive deleted]."
Kobe is spitting the truth, folks.
Mayweather doesn't leave without imparting some of his own wisdom: "There are only two types of people in this world: the players and the haters." We are going to assume the "players" are the same people who travel around with a small village for an entourage. "Money May" rolls deeper than most choirs.
Thankfully, the question as to whether Mayweather ever hops behind the camera to snap off some pictures has been answered.

The brash boxer who never strays too far from the limelight is happy to take a picture of his crew and the Lakers star. Oh, and he made sure to do so while holding the phone horizontally. Take notes, kids. That's the champ right there.
Again, there isn't anything here that will help Money in his next bout—as if he needs any. There certainly isn't anything that will shock the world when it comes to the competitive Bryant, who seems itching to get back on the court.
Just enjoy a damn cool moment of two masters of their universes hanging out for a spell.
