Brandon Jacobs' Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 6 Performance vs. Bears

Joseph ZuckerOct 10, 2013

If you own Brandon Jacobs in your fantasy football league, you couldn't be happier with Eli Manning's early struggles against the Chicago Bears in Week 6.

Manning threw interceptions on the New York Giants' first two drives of the game. As a result, Tom Coughlin has relied a little more on the running game, and Jacobs is making the most of the chance. He finished with 106 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in the Giants' 27-21 loss.

Twitter has approached Jacobs' good performance with a mix of bemusement and comedy.

NFL: Around the League thinks Jacobs is rolling back the years.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora thought there could be some sort of commercial tie-in at play.

In terms of fantasy, you may want to consider putting Jacobs on the trade market after the week is over. His value is never going to be higher. You may be able to fool another owner into giving up way too much in order to get a 31-year-old running back with little upside from here.

This is Brandon Jacobs we're talking about after all. Don't expect him to continue with anything close to this going forward.

If you're set on keeping him, just look at the matchups every week. Jacobs should be a steady enough runner, with some good performances against the right defenses.
