LeBron James and the Miami Heat will be rocking a couple of new (but also slightly familiar) looks this season.

According to the team's official Instagram account, Miami's wardrobe will feature two new options in 2013-14: a black throwback uniform and a bright red look that resembles the one the Heat sported on Christmas Day.

The red one is particularly sharp, though there is a little bit of a candy cane vibe to it. Maybe that's by design, though, as the Heat drew inspiration for the color scheme from the holiday duds they wore last season.

Here's Chris Bosh modeling one of them in what appears to be a scene that was cut from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze.

Well, either that or it's a glimpse of the Heat's new introduction videos. Whatever the case, there's the new red jersey in action.

The black ones are a mixed bag. On the one hand, the look itself is solid. It's simple, pays homage to the past and even updates the old version by featuring white letters. But why the lack of piping on the left leg? If you're going to go retro, go all the way.

It's what Harold Miner would have wanted.

The NBA is falling in love with fashion, so it makes sense that one of its marquee teams will be expanding its closet. Although, hopefully this won't mean the end of those white-on-white alternates. Maybe I'm in the minority, but those seem perfectly suited to the warm weather and Scarface legacy of South Beach.

If it's good enough for Tony Montana, it's certainly good enough for the Heat.

Oh, and one other thing: Let's hope that LeBron and his teammates will fit into their new uniforms. Based on their new workout regimens, some of the Heat players might be a little too bulked-up to pull them off.

Also, they'd better be flame retardant.
