4-Star Wide Receiver Recruit Wrote a Rap to Narrow Down His Top Schools

Dan CarsonJun 1, 2018

He's going to commit to a school—he just has to finish this verse real quick.

Braxton Berrios is a 4-star wideout recruit, via Rivals (h/t Yahoo! Sports), at Leesville Road in North Carolina, and he has written a rap to help announce his top five schools.

The 5'9", 180-pound wide receiver will be making his commitment Saturday, Oct. 12. In the meantime, he's using his iPhone to rap out his list of frontrunners, which include Kentucky, Miami (Fla.), Oregon, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Berrios tweeted out a short verse Monday about his upcoming decision, which was spotted by Matt Lombardi of College Spun. In his "rap," Berrios praises each school in the running for his services.

That's right, playa—bars for days. I wouldn't crown him the next Andre 3000, but at least give him credit for narrowing his list down in a creative way. Some people just tweet it in plain English, while others go above and beyond the call of duty and spit hot fire.

For reference, here's Berrios' junior season highlights at Leesville Road—dramatic music and all.

It also appears Bryson Allen-Williams—a 4-star linebacker, via Rivals (h/t Yahoo! Sports), committed to South Carolina—is also spitting rap game at Berrios in the name of bringing him to Columbia.

You'll have to wait until Saturday to see where Berrios commits, but one thing's for sure—he has quite the selection on his table.
