Who Will Win At Extreme Rules? *SPOILER*

Scott BeebyMay 20, 2009

It's that time again. The time of year when the all bets are off, and rivalries reach new heights. It's time again for EXTREME RULES!

Here are my predictions for the Pay Per View this year:

Randy Orton vs. Batista for the WWE championship - Steel Cage

I think that Orton will just escape with this one, but Batista will look very strong. There's been too many championships changing hands lately, so I could see Orton having a long reign as WWE champion.

John Cena vs. Big Show - Submission Match

Yet again Cena will miraculously overcome the odds and win. Big Show had a strong performance at Judgement Day, but the golden child will prevail.

Christian vs. Tommy Dreamer for the ECW championship

We don't know yet what the match stipulation will be, but I'd like to see a good ol' fashioned ECW Extreme Rules match to open the Pay Per View. With the whole storyline about Dreamer retiring if he doesn't get the belt, I think he'll win here.

CM Punk vs. Umaga - Strap match

Punk couldn't possibly lose at three PPV's in a row? Mr. Money In The Bank needs a win to be perceived as a credible champ when he does cash in the briefcase. I think it's a toss of the coin with this one.

Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental championship - No Holds Barred

This is going to be one of the best feuds of the year right here. I don't believe that WWE would put the belt on Y2J for the ninth time, because it would just decrease the value of it. Rey to win in a classic come from behind scenario.

Edge vs. Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight championship - Ladder Match

I really hope that this match is turned into a TLC match. Jeff is one of those wrestlers that look better chasing the gold then defending it. Even though I am a big Hardy fan, I think that Edge will win. This match NEEDS to deliver whatever the outcome is.

Besides those matches nothing else has been confirmed, although a US championship match is likely. MVP will retain no matter who he faces.

Vince isn't liking the women's division much right now, so I don't think you'll see either women's belt get defended here.

I can't wait for this Pay Per View!
