Independent Writer Needed for WPS' Philadelphia Independence

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness".

These were the famous words of Philadelphia's first Independence writer; words that have remained forever etched in history books from Philly to Fort Wayne. Words that flowed from the pen of Thomas Jefferson and forever changed the course of history.

Words from the next "First Independence writer" don't need to be nearly as bold or nearly as historic as Jefferson's famous speech, but may become equally important to the future of the Independence.

With this week's announcement that the Philadelphia entry for the Women's Professional Soccer League would be called the Independence, it is "self-evident" that the Bleacher Report needs a Philly writer to cover the new team.

As the WPS kicked off several months ago, we, the people of the Bleacher Report and football enthusiasts extraordinaire exercised our unalienable rights to bear pens and exercised our freedom of speech by forming the WPS Community.

As members of the WPS Community, you, like other Bleacher Report writers can carry on as endlessly as Jefferson did about all things Independence. Unlike the man from Monticello, however, you have the advantage of the up to date Bleacher Report technology.

The WPS Community of writers has forged a wonderful working relationship with the league and as the league grows so shall the Community.
