NFL Picks Week 5: Analyzing Expert Predictions from Around the Web
Go around the web this week, and a few things become quickly evident.
Most people think the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco Chargers and Atlanta Falcons will win. Nobody really has any idea what will happen between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.
And a surprising amount of folks like the Indianapolis Colts this week. Let's take a look at the expert picks from around the web.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's a bit surprising that no one is giving the Houston Texans a chance against the 49ers. Granted, given the two-game losing streak by Houston and the fact that the Niners got their offense back on track against the Rams, favoring San Fran makes sense.
But are people so down on Houston that not a single writer is willing to back it?
Likewise, the consensus pick for the Packers is interesting. The Detroit Lions have looked good this year and are fresh off a big win against the Chicago Bears. Of course, the Packers have won 30 of their last 35 at Lambeau Field, have beaten the Lions at home in 22 straight games and are fresh off a bye.
Not much love for the Tennessee Titans from the ESPN folks, though the Kansas City Chiefs are undefeated and Jake Locker is out to injury, so that pick makes sense. Still, the Titans at home could test the Chiefs.

Shockingly, not a single CBS writer likes the Buffalo Bills against the Cleveland Browns. Has America fallen in love with the Trent Richardson-less Browns after two straight wins? Are we all so busy swooning over Brian Hoyer, Jordan Cameron, Josh Gordon and that solid defense that we're undervaluing the Bills in this game?
No one at CBS likes the Jacksonville Jaguars in this contest. Neither does anyone else in the United States.
Again, Houston gets no love from the CBS folks. J.J. Watt is not happy.
The CBS folks love the Miami Dolphins at home against the Baltimore Ravens, which makes sense if the Ravens continue to unthinkably ignore Ray Rice and allow Joe Flacco to throw the ball 1,000 times per game to his mediocre crop of receivers. The Baltimore defense has played well this year, however, so this one could be a defensive struggle.

The consensus picks for the B/R writers are the Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Broncos and Falcons, while the 49ers, Chargers and Carolina Panthers are all favored by 11 of 12 writers. A lot of folks really love the Panthers this week, as they come off the bye and get a pretty mediocre Cardinals team.
The B/R folks are split right down the middle on the Eagles versus Giants because, honestly, given how inconsistent and sloppy both teams have been, that game could easily go either way (and could feature a ton of points given how poor both defenses are).
