Cleveland Fan Throws Spit Cup at Tampa Bay Rays Outfielder David DeJesus
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder David DeJesus almost got showered in dip spit before celebratory champagne.
He probably does not even mind.
DeJesus came into the Wild Card Game having played 1,277 games without a postseason appearance. He streak was the fifth-longest streak among active players.

His first postseason appearance will be even harder to forget than usual. In the eighth inning, DeJesus caught a foul ball right in front of the left-field fans. One of the fans appears to have thrown, and missed, a cup of liquid in DeJesus' direction.
The Twitter reaction to the incident started off comical when it was thought the substance was beer.
Some fans were more upset at the potential waste of beer than the act of it being thrown at a player while the game was in play.
After further review of the fluid in motion, it became clear that it was dip spit and not beer. This changed the tone to a consensus of general disgust.
Unfortunately, the spit cup toss was not the only embarrassing fan moments of the game.
Stay classy, Cleveland.
