CLT20: Mumbai Indians vs. Perth Scorchers Scorecard, Recap and More
The Mumbai Indians broke Otago's hearts at the Champions League T20, winning heavily against the Perth Scorchers to leapfrog the New Zealand side and take second place in the group, and with it a spot in the semi-finals.
It means three IPL sides will contest the last four, with Chennai Super Kings topping Group B, and Rajasthan Royals joining Mumbai from Group A.
Mumbai needed a big victory—once Perth had set 149 for six wickets from their 20 overs they had to chase the runs down in just 14.2 overs to improve their run rate sufficiently—and they made it with an over to spare.

Perth had a 32-ball unbeaten 51 from Sam Whiteman to thank for giving them someone remotely defendable, but despite the early loss of the out-of-form Sachin Tendulkar, Mumbai coasted.
Dwayne Smith crunched 48 in 25 balls, and Rohit Sharma smashed 51 in 24 to get Mumbai over the line.
Here is the scorecard as given by the official CLT20 website:
