CLT20: Trinidad & Tobago vs. Titans Scorecard, Recap, Standings and More

The Titans were denied a chance of sealing their qualification to the semi-finals of the Champions League T20 by rain, losing to Trinidad and Tobago by six runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method in Ahmedabad.

Trinidad and Tobago had posted 188 for six in their 20 overs, fired by a brutal partnership between Evin Lewis (70 from 35 balls) and Darren Bravo (63 from 44).

It looked a tough chase, and the South Africa-based Titans were in trouble at 137 for six with just 25 balls to go in which to score 52 runs.

But AB de Villiers was just exploding into life, unbeaten on 23 from 13 balls, when the heavens opened seven deliveries later.

Though Trinidad and Tobago were ahead, the target was not out of their reach—but the Titans simply never got a chance to get there.

The result means both sides are level on two victories. The Titans have played four, but Trinidad and Tobago play the Chennai Super Kings in their final group game and would go through with a win.

The result also means that a thumping win for Sunrisers Hyderabad could even see the IPL team sneak through—but their game against the Brisbane Heat, due to take place straight after this one, looked like being another victim of the rain.
