Geno Smith's Updated 2013 Fantasy Outlook and Trade Value After Week 4

Patrick ClarkeSep 29, 2013

New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith had a day to forget against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville in Week 4, turning the ball over four total times in his team's blowout loss, per NFL Network's Rich Eisen on Twitter:

Few fantasy owners were bold enough to start Smith on Sunday despite the fact that he was coming off a 331-yard, two-touchdown performance against Buffalo in Week 3. The rookie, who completed 23 of 34 passes for 289 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions Sunday, is only owned in five percent of all ESPN fantasy leagues.

But in addition to turning potential buyers off to him, Smith's brutal Week 4 outing diminishes his trade value. He's available in a majority of leagues around the country already and isn't projected to light it up in the weeks ahead with upcoming matchups against Atlanta, Pittsburgh and New England.
