Arsenal Fans Are Destroying Arsenal

Disgraceful!

The way many Arsenal fans have treated their club this season. Some fans seem intent on destroying this great club.

Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea would never have treated their club, players, and manager this way. Booing players and massacring them on the pitch, there is no excuse for the way Eboue was treated.

It tainted the club and the game. Nobody in any walk of life should be treated that way.

The booing did not stop at Eboue; other players faced the wrath of this vicious, unreasonable crowd.

Would that happen at Anfeild? Never. There, is a group of fans who help pull their team over the line even when they are not at their best.

Arsene Wenger may end up walking away in the close season but not because he feels he has taken the team as far as he can or because he does not have the support of the board. Instead it may be because a section of fans have lost faith in him and continue to undermine the team by tearing apart certain players wearing the shirt.

The shareholders meeting also was a disgrace. Men in suits without any football experience or success were questioning Wenger's decision making. It is healthy for anyone to be questioned but the contempt with which it was done was disrespectful to a man who has done and continues to do so much for Arsenal.

If Arsene Wenger, the most coveted manager in football leaves Arsenal, fans will realize many things. Firstly, spending money does not guarantee success.

Secondly, Arsenal cannot compete financially with Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City.

Thirdly, the difference between top four and a mid-table position is a great manager.

Next season there is no room for the negativity, lack of support, and the taking apart of players. Only together (that is the players, manager, and fans) can Arsenal be successful again.
