11th Match, Group A
The Lions take on the Mumbai Indians in an important tussle for both sides. Both sides are yet to win a game and sit level on two points each. The top two sides in Group A, Rajasthan Royals and Otago Volts, are edging ahead on the table (see below), and both the Lions and Mumbai desperately need a win if they have any hope of making it to the playoffs.
Mumbai lost their first game by seven wickets. While their batsmen were adequate in their approach, posting 142-7 in 20 overs, their bowlers were woeful, managing to take just two wickets. Their second match was abandoned due to rain, while a similar fate befell the Lions, with not a single ball bowled. Due to the weather, this match was originally scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad, but organisers have shifted it to Jaipur, per thatscricket.com.
The Lions batsmen had a tough time in their clash against the Rajasthan Royals, falling 30 runs short of the total. The South African side will need an improvement an all areas if they wish to salvage anything from the clash on Friday.

Weather: The weather forecast is clear with the BBC predicting highs of 29 degrees Celsius and lows of 23.
Pitch: There's been just one match played in Jaipur, with the side batting second winning. It seemed a good surface for the batsmen, with both teams managing to pass 140.
Key men
Mumbai Indians
Kieron Pollard has looked impressive for Mumbai. In the only match he has played, he performed with both bat and ball. He scored a fierce lower order (42 off 36) and chipped in with one of just three wickets Mumbai managed to take against Rajasthan. His all-round prowess, which is ideally suited to Indian conditions, will once again be a key factor.
Highveld Lions
With most of the South African outfit's bowlers being on the poor side, Lonwabo Tsotsobe stood out, taking 2-for-26 against a very impressive Rajasthan batting lineup. He will, once again, play a crucial role leading the attack, especially with an easily rattled Mumbai top order.
