An Interview with Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers

Kevin RobertsMay 19, 2009

Not everyone gets a chance to sit down with Aaron Rodgers, the guy who had the difficult task of replacing Brett Favre (and actually did so).

1. Is this 2009 Green Bay squad a playoff team?

2. Can you win the division if your defense doesn't improve from last season?

3. Do you personally feel you can win games in the fourth quarter, or have you and your team just been unlucky so far?

4. Donald Driver is the guy you can rely on, and Greg Jennings is the so-called "burner." Who is your next favorite target in the passing game?

5. Do you see yourself as a great leader on the field?

6. Why do you wear the number 12?

7. How do you feel about the rumors about Brett Favre returning, yet again?

8. What would it be like to see him in purple, and playing against him twice in 2009?

9. Do you feel at all responsible for his hatred toward Ted Thompson and the Packers' front office?

10. You've shown you can play in this league, but do you think you can lead this team to a championship?

11. Do you see yourself in Green Bay for your entire career?

12. Adding to that, how long, if able, do you plan to play?

13. Do you feel you've answered any questions to durability concerns?

14. Speaking of which, you elected to avoid surgery on your shoulder that you separated early last season. Is there any concern this could come back to haunt you?

15. Which team is the biggest threat against Green Bay to win the division?

16. Who is your NFL idol at the quarterback position?

17. Would you have considered Favre a mentor, a friend, a nuisance, or a legend? Or all of the above?

18. Name the best quarterback in the NFC North, yourself thrown into the mix.

19. Who is your most underrated offensive weapon?

20. What is your favorite play in the offensive playbook?

21. Have you ever changed a play at the line when you weren't supposed to, and what was it?

Some of these questions would leave Rodgers either miffed or at least a little uncomfortable, but that's what being in the hot seat is all about.
