Seahawks vs. Texans: TV Info, Spread, Injury Updates, Game Time and More

Jesse ReedJun 8, 2018

The undefeated Seattle Seahawks face their second big test of the season in Week 4 when they travel to Houston to take on the Texans.

Russell Wilson and his teammates have already humiliated one NFL powerhouse this year, beating the San Francisco 49ers to a pulp at home in Week 2. Another convincing win against a top team will put the league on notice—if it wasn't already—that Seattle is the team to beat in 2013.

The Texans are lucky to have two wins to their credit after squeaking by their first two opponents, thanks to late-game heroics by Brian Cushing and DeAndre Hopkins.

Can Houston's Offense Make Plays Against Seattle's Vaunted Defense?

Pete Carroll has made it clear the past few years that he's not afraid to win ugly. He'll ride his defense to victory on the road if he has to, and for good reason.

Last year's top-ranked scoring defense is at it again in 2013. Seattle allows just 241.7 yards and nine points per game.

The Texans were held to just 264 total yards of offense last weekend against Baltimore and failed to score a single touchdown.

Arian Foster hasn't looked great to this point in the season, and he'll struggle against the vaunted front seven of the Seahawks.

Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas and Brandon Browner comprise the league's best secondary. Andre Johnson and Hopkins will struggle to make plays against this unit, and Houston could have another miserable outing on offense this week.

Prediction

The Seahawks look indomitable right now, and that lopsided win over San Francisco was an eye-opening reminder of just how good this team really is.

Russell Wilson is one of the most efficient passers in the league, and he isn't prone to a rash of turnovers like many of the other young quarterbacks in the league. It certainly helps his cause that Marshawn Lynch is one of the NFL's best running backs.

On the other side, Houston can't compete with Seattle's "Legion of Boom" secondary. It'll take a monster game from either Foster or Ben Tate—or a combination of the two—to compensate for the lack of production from Matt Schaub and the team's passing attack.

Final Score

Seahawks win 28-14
