Ravens vs. Bills: TV Info, Spread, Injury Updates, Game Time and More

Jesse ReedJun 6, 2018

The Baltimore Ravens are heading up the East Coast to face the Buffalo Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After getting embarrassed by the Denver Broncos in the opening weekend, John Harbaugh's Ravens have rebounded with two wins in a row. Last week's 30-9 victory against the Houston Texans was particularly impressive, as the Ravens won all three phases of the game—offense, defense and special teams.

The Bills have been competitive in all three games to start the season but have only one win to their credit. The New England Patriots and New York Jets were able to make more plays with the game on the line.

Can C.J. Spiller Gain Yards Against Baltimore's Front Seven?

Before the season began, Bills fans were eagerly anticipating a breakout season by Spiller, who is one of the NFL's most electric playmakers in the open field.

Those expectations were further bolstered when Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett famously said, "We're going to give him the ball until he throws up," before the season began.

But to this point in the season, Spiller has only had one big game. He was completely stymied by the Patriots and Jets, totaling 50 yards on 27 carries in those two contests.

He left last Sunday's game with a leg injury, but Marrone said Spiller "should be fine" to play in this game against the Ravens, as noted by Joe Buscaglia of WGR550:

Baltimore hasn't been kind to opposing running backs this season, however.

Featuring the No. 4-ranked rushing defense in the league, the Ravens have allowed just 3.4 yards per carry this year.

Spiller will need to be sharp and receive plenty of help from his offensive linemen to avoid another disappointing performance this Sunday.

Prediction

Baltimore's defense has come alive since getting humiliated by Denver in Week 1. The combination of Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs coming off the edge has led the way for the Ravens to register 11 sacks thus far, which is good enough for seventh place in the NFL.

Combined with Baltimore's ability to shut down the run, this sets up a scenario where the opposing quarterback is forced to carry the offense.

Manuel has played better than most people expected, but he's not ready to carry his offense.

Joe Flacco will do just enough in the passing game for the Ravens to put a few touchdowns on the board, which will be enough for victory in this contest.

Final Score

Ravens win 24-17
