CLT20: Trinidad and Tobago vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad Scorecard, Recap and More

Thisara Perera saw Sunrisers Hyderabad to a five-wicket victory over Trinidad and Tobago to get their campaign up and running in the Champions League Twenty20. 

The result leaves both sides with one win in the latest points table for Group B, though the Caribbean outfit have played twice.

Put in to bat first, Trinidad and Tobago put on 160 for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs.

The star of the innings was Darren Bravo, whose 44-ball innings of 66 included four maximums and five boundaries.

There were no other telling contributions, although Evin Lewis (22), Jason Mohammed (19) and Denesh Ramdin (21) played around him.

In response there were plenty of starts from the Hyderabad batsmen, but once set, the wickets fell.

Parthiv Patel (17) was an early scalp for Sunil Narine, while opening partner Shikhar Dhawan (22) was caught and bowled by Navin Stewart.

JP Duminy (17) was next to fall, run out by some sharp work from Ravi Rampaul.

But Perera, the powerful Sri Lankan, took charge of the innings with the required run rate increasing, and he compiled a thrilling knock to bring the IPL side back into the game.

His unbeaten 57 came from 32 deliveries and turned the tide the way of the IPL team.
