Patrick ClarkeSep 24, 2013

Much to the delight of gamers everywhere, FIFA 14 will hit store shelves around the world this week.

With several new gameplay features on tap, including Real Ball Physics, Pure Shot and Precision Movement, football aficionados and video games lovers alike are sure to enjoy this year's edition of the beloved football simulation.

While Lionel Messi (94 overall rating) and Cristiano Ronaldo (92 overall rating) will be godlike in FIFA 14, there will be an abundance of other talents worth utilizing in the virtual world.

Jesus Navas, Manchester City/Spain

Don't let Jesus Navas' size fool you. The 5'7" winger can flat-out play, and in FIFA 14, the versatile Spaniard will be a creative force for users who opt to play with either Manchester City or the Spanish national team.

Navas boasts an exceptional pace rating of 91 and a not-too-shabby dribbling rating of 86. Therefore, he'll be a major threat on the counter attack and when looking to put the ball into the penalty area. The 27-year-old also has a 79 passing rating, fitting considering that he has nearly 80 assists for his career at the club level.

On top of all that, his skill moves are rated at four stars, putting him on a level playing field with names like Lionel Messi, Robin van Persie and Luis Suarez.

Navas may not be the elite goal scorer users love to dominate with, but he'll be an electric player in FIFA 14.

Cesc Fabregas, Barcelona/Spain

Navas' Spanish teammate, Cesc Fabregas, is another influential talent that gamers will love controlling in FIFA 14. The Barcelona star can obviously do it all in real lifescoring 30 goals and recording 39 assists since arriving at Camp Nou in 2011—so expect him to be next to unstoppable in the virtual world with a 90 passing rating.

Always a calm and collected player on the ball, Fabregas was also rewarded with an 82 dribbling rating in this year's game.

But what sets the 26-year-old apart from other talented midfielders is his scoring prowess. Fabregas has a 79 shooting rating in FIFA 14, making him a better option than David Silva or Franck Ribery when looking to rifle one past the goalkeeper.

Andrea Pirlo, Juventus/Italy

Users aren't going to get a ton of pace from Italian legend Andrea Pirlo in FIFA 14, but that won't matter.

The Juventus star will remain a deadly-accurate passer in this year's game as well as a dangerous scorer around the box with a shot rating of 76. And with a dribble rating of 82, you can bet that the beloved midfielder will be able to make strong runs with the ball, playing comfortably from box to box.

A World Cup champion and a cold-blooded penalty taker, Pirlo will be loads of fun for gamers this year. With the new Protect the Ball feature in place, Pirlo's ability to dictate tempo in midfield in real life should translate seamlessly to your television screen or computer monitor, making for an awesome experience.
