CLT20: Otago Volts vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad Scorecard, Recap and More
The Otago Volts made it three wins from three in the Champions League T20 after another crushing victory, this time over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Both sides had already qualified for the tournament proper, but Otago have shown in the qualifiers that they are serious contenders for the title.
The New Zealand-based Volts restricted the Sunrisers to 143 for five from their 20 overs, a score that looked well below par.

And in response, Brendon McCullum led the charge to victory, his unbeaten 67 from 39 balls making sure that Otago triumphed with more than three overs in hand.
The bowling was crucial—of all the vaunted Hyderabad batsmen, only JP Duminy, who hit 57 not out, was able to make a score of any note. And while Cameron White and Darren Sammy both managed scores over 20, they struggled to get their run rate above a run a ball.
Otago set the tone early with off-spinner Nathan McCullum prising out the wicket of both openers, including the dangerous Shikhar Dhawan, who had hit half-centuries in both his previous matches.
With the bat, Otago were clinical. They raced out to 74 from just eight overs, with Hamish Rutherford and Neil Broom starting brightly before McCullum kicked the innings into a higher gear.
There were crumbs of comfort for Hyderabad—Amit Mishra's googly to dismiss Ryan ten Doeschate was superb—but by then a victory had become almost inevitable.
