Carson Palmer Fist-Bumps a Referee After a Penalty Call Goes His Way

Tristan ThornburghSocial Media StaffSeptember 16, 2013

Well, this is awfully fishy.

Following a personal foul called on Israel Idonije of the Detroit Lions for diving at Carson Palmer's leg, which you can see below, Palmer and referee Pete Morelli exchanged a fist bump.

The NFL does its best to protect quarterbacks, and a good rapport between players and referees is a good thing, but this seems like a little much.

All in all, the Lions were penalized a total of eight times for 101 yards compared to the Cardinals' seven times for 40 yards in Arizona's 25-21 victory.
