Seattle Seahawks fans set a Guinness World Record for the loudest stadium during the Seahawks' victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
The volume at CenturyLink Field reached 136.6 decibels during a third-quarter goal-line stand, which surpassed the previous record of 131.9 decibels set by the same crowd in the first quarter. The record before this game was 131.76 by an Istanbul soccer crowd.
The decibel level was confirmed by The Seattle Times and a Guinness judge.
