NBA 2K14: Highlighting Player Ratings Revealed by 2K Sports

The player ratings for select players have been revealed by Ronnie Singh (aka Ronnie2K), the social media manager for the series. Several superstars and rookies have had their overall ratings revealed.

The reveal began with the game's best player and cover athlete, LeBron James. As expected, James is rated a much-deserved 99 overall. 

After the season James just had and his performance (26.8 points, 7.3 assists and eight rebounds) in the postseason. There is no way to logically dispute James' gaudy rating. In the same tweet, the Orlando Magic's No. 2 overall pick Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers' mountainous center Roy Hibbert also learned his rating.

Giving Oladipo a 76 overall seems fair based on his successful collegiate career and impressive performance in the NBA summer league. Hibbert's rating is obviously based more on his regular-season performance.

Hibbert averaged 11.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots per game during the regular season. However, in the playoffs, Hibbert went for 17 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. He was a major factor and could have been rated as high as an 85 and no one would have batted an eye.

If Hibbert continues to play well during the early parts of the 2013-14 season, he will see his ratings increase via the Dynamic Living Roster feature. In-season player ratings updates aren't anything new, but in NBA 2K14, DLR will allow player ratings to update on a daily basis.

Something tell me Hibbert may be a player headed for a ratings increase. Here's a look at a few other players whose ratings have been revealed:
