Mayweather vs. Canelo Weigh-In: Watch Live Stream of Pre-Fight Event

It doesn't get much bigger than "The Fight That Will Save Boxing."

Whether or not the sport truly needs "saving" is certainly debatable—considering Floyd Mayweather is set to make over $40 million on Saturday night, the sport probably isn't in such a bad spot—but the mere fact "Money" vs. "Canelo" is being dubbed as the de facto savior of boxing demonstrates just how colossal it is. 

"The One" is an appropriate moniker for the night. 

Clearly, it's a fight that needs very little hype. But on Friday, Mayweather and Saul Alvarez will stand toe-to-toe to build it up one last time during the final weigh-in.

It's not difficult to understand the anticipation behind this fight. 

Mayweather, at 44-0 and fresh off a clinical dismantling of Robert Guerrero, is on the final stretch of his brilliant career but still incredibly confident he can further cement himself as one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxers in history. 

Canelo, meanwhile, is the young 23-year-old up-and-comer looking to take the torch from the 36-year-old. He is also undefeated, sitting at 42-0-1 after crushing the previously undefeated Austin Trout back in April. 

Mayweather is arguably the best defensive boxer of all-time. Attempting to land a punch on him is somewhat akin to landing one on a ghost—while blindfolded. 

But when it comes to Canelo, it only takes one. Showcasing a powerful right hook, the young Mexican has won 30 fights via knockout and has the best connect percentage among active fighters.

The contrasting nature of this fight is tantalizing on every level and, with Friday's weigh-in, we are officially one step closer to "The One."
