TNA iMPACT Slamback: Mick Foley Continues Hostile Takeover
As TNA goes on the air, we get a quick recap of the main event at Sacrifice. As TNA goes live, Mick Foley makes his way to the ring to talk to the crowd inside The Zone.
Foley comes out and talks about the competitors that he knows of for the Fatal Four Way “Ultimate Sacrifice” Match at Sacrifice.
Foley announces that Jeff Jarrett will not be on iMPACT tonight. The reason: Foley attacked him in Nashville earlier that day.
In the back, the Main Event Mafia (minus Kurt Angle) are keeping their focus on tonight’s broadcast, but inform us that Angle is in Hollywood working on a movie (which is true).
In his absence, Steiner has been named the leader. On the other side, Nash has informed them that Jenna Morasca will back the Mafia financially…only if Sharmell is exiled from the Mafia.
Back on the show, JB is trying to get answers in regards to the DVD that Foley is holding hostage. Eric Young then bolts in and demands some opportunity…which Foley gives him in the form of Samoa Joe’s Nation of Violence.
Chris Sabin (w/Alex Shelley) vs. Daniels
Sabin tries to get early control, but Daniels bounces back with a splash in the corner. The duo battle at the top of one of the corner with Sabin getting the job done with a hesitating drop kick.
As the Guns double team Daniels, Lethal Consequences comes to the entrance way for a closer look at the match.
As three of the men involved in this Suicide situation look on, Daniels fights back with an elbow and a Fallen Boot. Daniels continues the pressure with an STO.
Shelley breaks up Daniels’ attempt at the Angels Wings, which allows Sabin to get the upper hand.
Daniels takes out Shelley before dropping Sabin with a Fall Bottom and the BME to pick up the win over Sabin.
In the back, Foley has bribed Earl Hebner to ensure that something will happen to someone tonight. Also, Steiner tries to talk Jenna into having a meeting with Sharmell to bury the hatchet between the two women.
Following a video promo on TNA Champion Mick Foley, Tenay and Dumb West give the rundown of the night’s broadcast. In the back, TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love reveals the identity of the person she called last week. And with that, TNA fans see the return of Cute Kip.
Eric Young vs. Samoa Joe
Samoa Joe goes on the offensive early and often. But as Eric tries to fight back, Joe just punts him to the outside of the ring. On the outside, Joe gets caught with his own weapon only to retaliate by launching the chair to Young’s forehead.
Joe counters a pinfall into the Kokina Clutch, and after wiggling around the ring for a few moments, Young finally passes out. Joe gets the victory and picks up Eric Young and carries him out of the iMPACT Zone.
Back on iMPACT, the cameras reveal that Samoa Joe dropped a prone Eric Young into the trunk of an awaiting car. After slamming the trunk, the driver peels out with Young’s body.
After a Mike Tenay interview with Sting, Lauren and Taylor Wilde are waiting for Taylor’s secret admirer.
It is revealed that Daffney is Taylor’s secret admirer, but even worse, Daffney informs Wilde that she will get even with Wilde for letting The Beautiful People cut her hair…at the first ever Knockouts Monster’s Ball at Sacrifice.
With that, Daffney attacks Wilde before Lauren scares her off with a piece of broken glass.
Stretcher Match Cute Kip vs. Awesome Kong
Kip is having problems right off the bat, but as he guns for a choke slam, Raisha Saeed steps in and delivers a low blow. Kong then grabs a chair and wraps it around the skull of Cute Kip.
Acknowledging the crowd, Kong slams him with the chair again before delivering a devastating splash on the chair wrapped cranium of Kip…twice. She then rolls him on the stretcher and allows Rudy Charles to finish the ten-count to pick up her third straight Stretcher Match win.
In the back, Steiner twists the words of Jenna to convince Sharmell to attend the meeting with Morasca. Also, as Lauren interviews Team 3D gets attacked by the British Invasion as the Un-Americans walk by with a smile on their faces.
Team 3D Tag Team Invitational Tournament British Invasion vs. Amazingly Suicidal
As the spotlight comes back on in the iMPACT Zone, Suicide appears on the announce table, much to the shock of Mike Tenay and Dumb West. Suicide starts the match against Doug Williams. Both men go back and forth with Suicide getting control before Amazing Red comes into the ring.
As Suicide takes out Doug Williams, Brutus Magnus drops Red with a big boot to the mouth. After a double team move, the Brits get complete control of the match.
Williams keeps Red in check with a knee drop before Magnus comes in and continues the assault. But Red gets enough of the DDT to tag in Suicide. Suicide comes in drops Williams with a Tuck and Roll.
Red jumps in and drops Magnus with a Flip Dive, but on the other side, the Guns hit the Double Barrels on Suicide to give the British Invasion the victory and a spot in the Finals against Beer Money.
After the bell, the Guns come in and take out Amazing Red before focusing their attention on the X-Division Champion.
Intermission: The Possible Unmasking of Suicide
Back from commercial, Lethal Consequences joins the Guns in the unmasking. And after some aerial moves, Suicide gets overwhelmed. But as the mask is about to be off, Daniels comes sprinting towards the ring and rescues the X-Division Champion.
After Suicide hits the corner head smash, and Daniels delivers the Angels wings to Creed, both men shake hands with Daniels saying, “You owe me one. You owe me one.”
As everyone looks confused, Daniels and Suicide look at the men who are at the center of the controversy…including Dumb West.
Interlude: Steiner Summit with Sharmell and Jenna
Steiner’s Summit soon goes south as both ladies continue dropping bombs on each other. As for Steiner, he gets stuck in the middle of the two Mafia Ladies.
Handicap Match No Limit vs. Kevin Nash
No Limit uses double team moves to try to ground Big Sexy, and thanks to a flying dropkick, they are able to drop the big man. But Nash recovers and takes them down with a set of knees and a choke slam.
Following a sidewalk slam, Nash delivers another big boot before losing the straps and the elbow pad.
Nash then drops Yujiro with the Jackknife Powerbomb to pick up the easy pinfall over No Limit. After the match, Nash informs that the only Nation of Violence that will be at Sacrifice will be himself.
In the back, Foley announces that he will indeed show the video footage from Nashville. Also, Legends Champion AJ Styles makes it clear that he has been preparing for his “I Quit” Match all his life. He also vows that those words will never cross his lips no matter what.
I Quit Match “The Outlaw” Jethro Holliday vs. Booker T
The fight spills to the outside with Booker T getting control. After The Outlaw refuses to quit, the fight goes back into the ring. Following a back suplex, Booker tries to get him to say it, but Outlaw refuses to quit once again.
The Outlaw starts fighting back, but he is quickly dropped with a spinning heel kick. But The Outlaw still refuses to quit.
On the fourth attempt, the Outlaw tells Booker, “Sharmell looks good naked.” An infuriated Booker tries to hit the Axe Kick, but he gets dropped with a big boot.
Holliday mounts Booker and starts gaining momentum. After turning Booker inside out, Holliday gets caught with a steel chair to the skull. Booker then drops him with the Axe Kick and tells Rudy Charles to ask him again.
After the beat down, Holliday finally calls it quits. As Booker celebrates, Mick Foley hands the Production Team the video footage of Nashville.
Conclusion: Mick Foley’s Assault on Jeff Jarrett
I’ve seen the video, so I’ll fill you in. Foley enters the ring and blames himself for Jarrett not being in The Zone. After signaling the Production Truck to roll the footage, we see Jarrett giving us the tour of the TNA Asylum.
As he tries to explain the ticket booth, Foley ambushes him from behind and chokes him to the ground with a set of cords.
After putting him to the ground, Foley grabs a chair and slams it against the injured hamstring of Jarrett. As Jarrett begins to crawl away, he gets leveled again with the steel chair.
After doing the damage, the fans in the iMPACT Zone began to shower Foley with jeers as he stands alone in the ring in awe of the damage he caused the TNA Founder.
He then tells Jarrett, “Guess you can’t go home again.” before smiling at the crowd and talking about his stitches again as the show comes to an end.
