Jay Cutler From a Former Bronco Fan

Jay Cutler is now a Bear.  He is no longer the unequivocal leader of a great offense as created by the great one, Shanahan.  W

ith the firing of Shanny, the Bears are the recipient of the best quarterback I have seen.  Yes, I loved Elway.  Yes, his heart was great for our team, but Cutler has the best arm.  He can throw the same 30 yard on a rope at blistering speed that Elway did, but he has the soft throw over the linebacker touch that Elway never quite accomplished. 

He is without a doubt the best I have ever seen.  Did I mention he is only 25?  Did I mention he is the only one of three—count that—three quarterbacks that ever made the pro bowl by the time they were 25 in the entire NFL?  He is superb.  If he got mad at Pat Bowlen for wanting to trade him for who? Matt Cassel? You have got to be kidding me. He has a reason to pout. 

You know what Shanny said about his No. 1 pick last year to the media?  "Cutler has my full confidence to run my entire playbook at his call anytime during the game."  How's that for vote of confidence? 

And now he's a Bear.  How's that for stupidity for Pat Bowlen and the new head coach referred to derisively in Denver's papers as Josh McDiapers, McDaniels?

I have been a Bronco's fan since 1971.  Anyone remember Floyd Little?  I have seen the good ones and the not so good.  Chicago has the best quarterback I have seen for his age ever.

Oh, one other thing. In a preseason game against Jets last year, Cutler told the media he could throw the deep pass longer than Favre.  Then proceeded to do so.  Media scoffed but then he flicked one 70 plus yards in the air and we all got quiet about comparisons. 

I am a new Bears fan.  Fire Bowlen.  He has destroyed the team.  The three yard safe, dunk pass from Orton is going to get really tiring. Did I say really really tiring?
