Status: Out
Despite practicing on Tuesday, the feeling around the Denver Broncos organization was that veteran cornerback Champ Bailey would not be able to play Thursday night with a foot injury, according to ESPN Broncos blogger Jeff Legwold on NFL Insiders. ESPN's Stephania Bell later confirmed that Bailey is out.
Robert Griffin III, QB, Washington Redskins
Status: Will Play
After not playing a snap all preseason, Robert Griffin III is officially active, according to Redskins beat reporter Grant Paulsen. John Keim of ESPN.com previously reported that the quarterback will start Griffin in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles without any restrictions on the game plan.
Victor Cruz, WR, New York Giants
Status: Will Play
New York Giants star wide receiver Victor Cruz returned to practice Monday (heel), and quarterback Eli Manning expects him to not only play in Week 1, but also play at a high level, per Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star-Ledger.
Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots
Status: Out
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (forearm/back) practiced for the second day in a row, but was still listed as doubtful in Week 1. The team officially listed him as out for Sunday's game.
Brandon Marshall, WR, Chicago Bears
Status: Will Play
Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall returned to practice Monday and looks to be ready to go in Week 1 without any setbacks in his surgically repaired hip, per Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com. He will officially play, per the team's inactive list.
