WWE Superstars Shock Therapy: Don't Blink, You'll Miss Something

As Superstars kicks off, Rey Mysterio is heading to the ring as John Morrison joins JR and Todd Grisham at the announce table.

 

Shelton Benjamin vs. Rey Mysterio

Benjamin shows his wrestling ability by flat out overpowering the smaller Mysterio. Back in the ring, Mysterio continues to get overpowered, but shows his luchador talent by sending Benjamin to the outside followed by a hurracanrana.

Back in the ring, Benjamin counters a springboard with a knee to the ribcage of the Intercontinental Champion. Benjamin continues to work on Mysterio’s ribs, but in the process, he focuses his attention on his newest foe, the Guru of Greatness.

Back in the ring, Benjamin has a reverse ab lock applied, but Mysterio fights out of the hold and takes Benjamin down with a drop toe hold. Mysterio counters a pin attempt with a kick to the skull.

Mysterio guns for the 619, but Benjamin counters into a kick to the gut that sends him back to the outside. Back on the program, Benjamin has an abdominal stretch and leg lock applied, but Mysterio fights out only to delivered a farewell for his troubles.

He once again locks in the leg scissors on top of a reverse chin lock. Mysterio continues to fight back with knees to the side of the head of Benjamin, but the Gold Standard keeps the pressure on.

Mysterio starts to fight back, but gets caught again. Benjamin charges towards the corner only to get caught in a Lucha Splash followed by a springboard cross body. Benjamin shakes off the cobwebs and delivers a massive German Suplex.

But Mysterio counters with a DDT followed by the 619. Mysterio follows it up with the West Coast Spring to pick up the win over the Gold Standard.

After the bell, Benjamin and Morrison talk some smack before exchanging some punches on the outside of the ring.

Following a promo package of Batista, Mark Henry, and Tony Atlas make their way to the ring.

 

Mark Henry vs. Christian

Henry starts the match by flat out pushing Christian to the ground before attempting to stomp on his body. Christian looks overpowered as Henry just continues to have his way with the ECW Champion. But Christian catches a break with a diving dropkick to the outside to keep Henry at bay.

Back on the program, Christian gets flat out leveled by a clothesline from Henry. Christian tries to fight back, but the large tree trunk arms of Henry once again ground the ECW Champion.

Henry continues the pressure by standing on the lower back of the Christian, but Captain Charisma manages to avoid the collision and take the fight to the World’s Strongest Man. Christian comes off the top and after a pair of diving dropkicks is able to drop him. But Henry nearly decapitates Christian with a clothesline.

After dodging a splash from Henry, Christian sprints back up top and nails the Cross body to score the upset win over the World’s Strongest Man. As a fuming Henry looks on, Christian staggers his way up to the top of the entrance holding the ECW Championship high above his head.

Following a quick trip down RAW Boulevard with the anarchy known as Batista and Randy Orton, Big Show and Hornswoggle begin to make their final preparations for their match.

 

Big Show vs. Hornswoggle

As the fans begin to chant for the lil’ Irishman, Big Show shows no second thoughts in possibly fighting the 4’ Tall Irishman. As Big Show toys with Hornswoggle, he tells him to fly off the top rope and deliver the Tadpole Splash onto him.

He takes Show up on the offer, but Show decides that he isn’t done playing with the little guy. As Show guns for the Showstopper, Goldust sprints down to the ring to prevent the assault from continuing. But Show decides to take his aggression out on Goldust with a Chokeslam and the Camel Clutch before leaving the ring.

As Show walks away from the carnage, Hornswoggle slides into the ring to check on the man who saved him from the bullying of the Big Show as Superstars goes off the air.
