The crusade to keep performance-enhancing drugs out of sports is blind to age. The same organization that took down Lance Armstrong has done the same to a senior citizen.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency announced Friday that it has banned 80-year-old weightlifter Don Ramos, of Colorado Springs, Colo., after he tested positive for steroids.

Ramos is now banned for two years and won't be eligible to compete again until July 2015.

The geriatric juicer was attempting to set a world record for his age group at the Pan American Masters Weightlifting Championships back in June.

According to the USADA's release:

USADA was contracted to test the Pan American Masters Weightlifting Championships, which is an event for athletes 35 and older, in Chicago, Ill.  June 14 - June 16, 2013. Ramos, 80, tested positive for the presence of a steroid of exogenous origin as the result of an in-competition urine sample collected on June 14, 2013 while he was attempting to set a world record.

This isn't the first aging athlete the USADA has recently busted. Two years ago, the organization banned four masters athletes over the age of 50 for positive tests.

Here's a local ABC affiliate video of a then-68-year-old Ramos pumping iron.

Ramos had most recently claimed the USA Weightlifting Masters National Championship for the 80- to 84-year-old weight class back in March.
