Madden 25 Player Ratings: Defensive Stars Who Can't Be Stopped in 2013
The release of Madden 25 has the football and video game worlds colliding once again, and the frenzy over where the top players in the league fall on the ratings list has the anticipation surrounding this game through the roof.
All of the following players will be the top defensive stars in the game this year and will help you dominate your friends and family in the comfort of your own home.
J.J. Watt, DE, Houston Texans
Rating: 99
There are few players in the sport of football that are as dominant a presence as 6'5” and 288-pound Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt. With a standout season in 2012, he has become the only defensive player in this year’s game rated as a 99.
Not only will the pass-rushing specialist be a nightmare off the edge, but his 97 strength, 99 power moves and 98 block shedding ratings will also make him a force against the run.
Gamers will not want to see Watt on the other side of the ball while on offense.
Watt has claimed that he wants to amass 20 sacks, 20 tackles for a loss and 20 batted balls this season, per CBS Sports, and that will only increase his Madden 25 domination as the season goes on.
Darrelle Revis, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rating: 97
Despite coming off ACL surgery that kept him from playing most of the 2012 season, veteran cornerback Darrelle Revis is ready to shine for his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this year.
The developers at EA Sports know how great Revis is in every style of defense, and his ratings reflect that. With a 93 speed, 98 man coverage and 94 zone coverage ratings, the Buccaneers CB can be used in every defensive situation imaginable.
Revis makes the Buccaneers’ defensive secondary a legitimate threat this year, and whether you trade for him, select him in the fantasy draft or play as Tampa Bay, the veteran will utterly dominate in this year’s game.
Von Miller, LB, Denver Broncos
Rating: 97
Despite missing the first six games of the season while serving a suspension for violating the substance abuse policy, per Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports, the most dangerous linebacker in the Madden 25 game is Denver Broncos Von Miller.
Miller has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons in the NFL and has been rewarded handsomely by the people at EA Sports.
With outlandish 88 speed, 99 finesse moves and 99 pursuit ratings, the Broncos LB is an outside pass rushing nightmare. You do not want to be an opposing quarterback against Miller.
