Patrick ClarkeJun 1, 2018

EA Sports is set to release Madden NFL 25 this week, much to the delight of football fans and gamers everywhere.

The latest edition of the well-known pro football simulation will feature several new additions as well as improved gameplay. But perhaps the most anticipated changes will be the ones made to the individual player ratings following the 2012 season.

Below we'll examine some of the most versatile playmakers in Madden NFL 25.

Ray Rice, Baltimore Ravens, RB

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice can do it all out of the backfield in real life and in the virtual world, and any doubts will be erased within moments of handing the ball off to No. 27 or tossing him a pass in the flat.

Rice, who has rushed for 1,100-plus yards in each of the past four seasons, has also caught at least 60 passes in each of those seasons.

In Madden NFL 25, Rice will have a 94 overall rating that includes a 91 speed rating and a 94 agility rating. Even more impressive, the 5'8", 212-pound back will have an 83 strength rating, allowing him to break tackles and pick up big yards downfield.

Madden users can also expect Rice to hold on to a lot of balls that are thrown his way, as he'll possess an 82 catching rating in this year's edition.

Percy Harvin, Seattle Seahawks, WR

Whether you're using Seahawks wideout Percy Harvin as a receiver downfield, a return man or as a runner on an end-around, you're sure to get a positive result in Madden NFL 25.

The former Minnesota Vikings star boasts a 92 overall rating in this year's game and can absolutely fly with the ball in his hands thanks to a 96 speed rating (fastest Seahawks player in Madden NFL 25).

Juking defenders with Harvin is going to be a lot of fun also. The veteran playmaker has a 98 agility rating to go along with his soft hands (91 catching rating) and game-breaking speed.

With such a strong defense in Seattle, gamers should have plenty of opportunities to utilize Harvin on offense.

Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins, QB

Washington Redskins signal-caller Robert Griffin III will be a popular player in Madden NFL 25 thanks to his unrivaled versatility.

The second-year quarterback will be deadly with his arm (95 throw power rating and 87 throw accuracy rating) and just as dangerous with his legs (92 speed rating and 74 carrying rating).

RG3 led all NFL quarterbacks in rushing yards in real life last season, racking up 815 yards to go along with seven rushing touchdowns. Griffin also threw for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns as a rookie in 2012. Though it's difficult to believe, with improved player ratings in Madden NFL 25, the dynamic playmaker will be even more explosive in this year's edition.

Griffin does have a slightly diminished 84 injury rating, but smart gamers should be able to avoid too many unnecessary hits due to RGIII's speed and 95 agility rating.
