Twenty Questions with Jay Cutler

James AndrewsMay 13, 2009

As a Bears fan, I have often wondered what interviewing Jay Cutler would feel like.  The following are 20 questions that Bears fans want to ask our new quarterback, and I think we deserve to know.

Let's get right to business...

1) You had a messy split with Denver. How has the city of Chicago embraced you?

2) What do you miss the most about your ex-team and the city of Denver?

3) If you could have brought a few players with you from the Broncos, who would they be and why?

4) Are there any formations or plays that you brought with you from Denver?

5) What is your favorite formation?

6) What are your favorite things about the Bears and Chicago itself?

7) You grew up just south of Chicago. Are you ready to deal with these Chicago winters again?

8) What are the strongest positions on the Bears offence and defense?

9) Are there any players that have surprised you or stood out so far in training camp?

10) Now that the quarterback position has been filled, what is the Bears' weak link?

11) What kind of potential does this Bears team have?

12) What are your expectations in the next few years?

13) Did coming here and seeing Earl Bennett, Chris Williams, and others make this transition easier for you?

14) Speaking of Earl Bennett, what do you think of the Bears' receivers?

15) If you could pick between Torry Holt, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Laveranues Coles, Marvin Harrison, Plaxico Burress, and Amani Toomer, who would you choose as a teammate and why?

16) Staying on receivers, I read that Brandon Marshall is a free agent at the end of the year.  Would it be tampering if you called him and asked for a reunion?

17) What are your thoughts on Matt Forte?

18) Which team in the division do you think poses the biggest threat to the Bears?

19) In Chicago, the back-up quarterback is always the favorite one.  What do you believe you bring to the table that can ensure that Caleb Hanie doesn't take over at QB?

20) How do you deal with the pressure of having to carry an NFL franchise, first in Denver and now in Chicago?

Thank you for your time. I wish you the best of luck, and...GO BEARS!!!!
