The REAL All-NBA Teams Revealed
Well, the NBA didn’t want to make the tough decisions, so when they announced the All NBA Teams today, there are some very interesting takes. First, to be fair, here are the official teams, courtesy of NBA.com:
First Team
Guard: Kobe Bryant
Guard: Dwyane Wade
Forward: Dirk Nowitzki
Forward: Lebron James
Center: Dwight Howard
Second Team
Guard: Chris Paul
Guard: Brandon Roy
Forward: Tim Duncan
Forward: Paul Pierce
Center: Yao Ming
Third Team
Guard: Tony Parker
Guard: Chauncey Billups
Forward: Pau Gasol
Forward: Carmelo Anthony
Center: Shaq
Now, before I drop my teams, two things don’t make sense. First, the All-NBA Teams generally should represent the best five players at EACH position, meaning you wouldn’t see a team where there are two point guards(3rd team), or two shooting guards(1st team) both on the same team, which is the cae here. Someone makes the first team, the other one makes the second, simple. No one wanted to pick Kobe over Wade, over Billups, over Parker, so they make them both on the same team. Pitiful.
