Liverpool Transfer News: The Reds Would Be Wise to Acquire Willian

Liverpool have a chance to add a player, so the Reds would be smart to make a move to bring in Willian.

David Maddock of Mirror Football reported that the midfielder is hoping Liverpool makes a bid. His Russian club, Anzhi, is looking to move him, so Liverpool would be wise to pursue him.

Willian's versatility makes him an attractive player. He can play midfield or wing, and he can attack no matter what position he plays.

The 5'8" midfielder doesn't have great size, but he is a good dribbler who can make plays. He is quick with the ball, which fits Liverpool's style. The Reds like to maintain possession, and Willian can do that and lead a quick attack. 

Willian may not be a prolific goalscorer, but he is great at setting up his teammates. His ability to use both feet makes him a dangerous player. It doesn't matter what side of the field he is on because he can get the ball to his teammates with either foot.

The 25-year-old would improve Liverpool's offense.

Luis Suarez is a great player, and his status with the team doesn't appear to be in question anymore. Earlier this week, Ed Maylon of Mirror Football reported that Suarez had told a Uruguayan newspaper that he would be staying in Anfield.

Suarez would only benefit from having a player like Willian on the roster. Suarez would have more opportunities to score, and Liverpool are looking for more help.

According to The Guardian, Atletico Madrid was able to re-sign Diego Costa. The Reds were trying to get him, but they were unable to get the scorer.

Now, the club must continue to look to improve its attack. Willian isn't going to be a scorer, but he can certainly help his team get more chances. 

He is looking for a fresh start and hopes that a Premier League team will make a move for him. Playing in the EPL could bring out the best in the midfielder.

After a lot of intrigue in the past few months, Liverpool are finally getting a better idea of what their roster is going to look like next season. Keeping Suarez was a good move, and adding Willian would improve the Reds' chances in the EPL next season.

Getting offensive help was a goal for Liverpool. They have a chance to get an attacking midfielder, so they should make a bid and hope they can acquire Willian.
