WWE News: Update on a New Client for Paul Heyman
With Brock Lesnar expected to be kept off WWE programming for several months, Paul Heyman is in need of a new client.
As F4WOnline (via wrestlinginc.com's Marc Middleton) reported previously, Lesnar is signed on for three pay-per-view matches per year in his current contract. Having wrestled at Extreme Rules and SummerSlam, it’s likely that WWE will save his final match for WrestleMania XXX.
F4WOnline is now reporting that Heyman is indeed getting a new client, but it may not be the type we’re expecting (via Middleton):
"The WWE NXT Tout account posted a video of Paul Heyman teasing that his next recruit may be a “Paul Heyman girl” instead of a male wrestler, leading fans to speculate that Heyman may be recruiting NXT Women’s Champion Paige
"
Well, the idea of a Paul Heyman girl is certainly intriguing, but one has to think that Happy Heyman will recruit another star to combat CM Punk.
Punk is still on a quest to destroy his former best friend and manager, The Beast Incarnate will be gone, and Curtis Axel is not nearly on Punk’s level.
Paige—or any diva—isn’t exactly what Paul E. needs right now.
Expect Lesnar to be written off television and for another top star to align themselves with Heyman as his feud with The Second City Saint continues.
What do you think? Is a Paul Heyman girl a good idea? Does Heyman need to recruit someone else, or can his rivalry with Punk continue without a new client? Let us know the comments section below.
