Jim Boylen, head basketball coach at Utah, has signed a new contract.

The two-year coach agreed to a deal that would pay $850,000 a year for five years, a raise of nearly $300,000 annually.

The Utes have gone 42-25 during Boylen's tenure. Boylen led the team last year to a Mountain West Championship and a No. 5 seed in the NCAA tournament, their first bid since 2005.
