Questions for "Mr. Versatility" Josh Cribbs

Daniel WolfMay 12, 2009

In a hypothetical interview with Josh Cribbs these are the questions that I would ask during our meeting. Also as part of the interview process, I would show Cribbs several videos (via laptop or iphone) of certain plays and have questions on those too.

1. What is your best memory while playing football at Kent State University?
2. How did it feel to be the first true freshman in NCAA history to run and pass for over 1,000 yards in a season?
3. Were you nervous at your first Browns training camp? How did you adjust?
4. What are your expectations of Coach Mangini in 2009?
5. Are you excited to play some defense this year? Possible position? What do you want to experience more on defense a sack or INT?
6. Are you willing to play games in all three facets of the game (offense, defense and special teams)? How will you deal with fatigue?
7. Have you added any new training routines in the off season in preparation for the upcoming season?

Here is a link to the first video which is of Cribbs' kick return for a TD vs. Pittsburgh in 2007

8.What was going through your head when the ball got behind you?
9.While you were tiptoeing the sideline, did you think you had a chance to take it to the house?

Second video is of Cribbs getting tackled by Jacksonville's kicker

10.Tackled by the kicker? Your thoughts.

Third video is of a punt return for a TD vs. the 49ers

11.Do you prefer returning kicks or punts?
12.What is the biggest difference between the two for those who have never returned a punt or kick before?
