The Knee Jerks On The Air! Show No. 2
Show No. 2 is in the books.
โThe Knee Jerks: WTF? With Eno & Alโ โ the new online radio version, is available for download.
Every Monday night at 11 p.m. ET LIVE, I talk sports with Big Al of The Wayne Fontes Experience.
In case you missed it last night, here are some highlights:
On Chuck Daly
Big Al: โChuck Daly, in a way, ruined the NBAโฆhe caused rules changes.โ
Eno: โDaly had all the credentials to be a Pistons coach in 1983, which were none!โ
Eno: โHe was the first NBA coach who really put it out there that this is a playerโs league.โ
Big Al: โHe wasnโt a great Xs and Os guy, like Larry Brown, but he could manage people.โ
Eno: โI remember when Chuck replaced Bill Laimbeer in the 1990 Finals with William Bedford for a few minutes in Game Three. I thought, โWow, what a message.โโ
Big Al: โHis death hit me hard.โ
ย
On the Red Wings-Ducks:
Big Al: โIf the Red Wings keep this up, the Ducks donโt have a chance.โ
Eno: โBrian Rafalski hasnโt played a minute in this series, and Kris Draper hasnโt played a minute in the playoffs, yet here they are, on the verge of going back to the conference finals.โ
Big Al: (on the recall of Darren McCarty) โI donโt think he deserves to be on a playoff roster.โ
Eno: (on McCarty) โThe Wings donโt want anything weird to happen, and if Darrenโs in there, maybe something weird wonโt happen.โ
ย
On the Tigers
Eno: (on Dontrelle Willisโs return) โWe donโt know how thatโs going to go. It could either go sideways again or be a great story.โ
Big Al: (on roster moves) โI think Nate Robertson might be in trouble. He never pitches. Heโs a $7-plus million mop-up man.โ
