Backstage Heat on E!'s 'Total Divas' Star Eva Marie

Chris FeatherstoneJun 4, 2018

Upon months of hype and promo videos, E!'s Total Divas debuted a couple of weeks ago. Although E! virtually snatched a show that was one of many empty promises of the yet-to-be-unveiled WWE Network, it ended up being a favorable decision. The show is a success, and even the most masculine of men have to admit being glued on every minute (including myself).

The show chronicles the lives of some of the company's most notable Divasโ€”Nikki and Brie Bella, Cameron (Ariane), Naomi (Trinity), and Natalya (Nattie)โ€”as well as two "newbies" named Eva Marie and Jo Jo.

  • Exposure of Nikki Bella's relationship with John Cena
  • Exposure of Brie Bella's relationship with Daniel Bryan
  • The backstage mess that happened before the scheduled WrestleMania eight-person tag match
  • Eva Marie getting engaged to someone she's only been dating for a few months (wow!)
  • Eva Marie's fascination with Fandango, which led her to lie about being a professional dancer
  • Appearances by Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Road Dogg and Stephanie McMahon

Based on these factors, coupled with the real-life depiction the show attempts to portray, it would only confirm that the show is not scripted, right?

Wrong.ย

Just like every other reality show, if you believe that it is real, the writers have successfully done their job to present it as such.ย

Although the show is scripted, there are still some legitimate disdain towards her backstage based on her locker room demeanor.

According to F4WOnline, via WrestlingInc., new Diva Eva Marie is already in the hot seat. Her fiery, rebellious personality that we can clearly see on the show has bled through her backstage demeanor, labeling her amongst others as "passionately hated."

The segment where she was trying to be Fandango's dancer was reported to be fake and created to make the show more intriguing, but I am sure that the passion Eva has to succeed in this business is real. Being included in roles like that will do nothing but inflate her ego.

One would think that Eva Marie is acting on borrowed time right now based on her backstage reputation, but Ariane is also deemed to be annoying backstage, and she is still around. Eva has the look and opportunity to be a big name in the WWE; however, she must first learn the art of humility.

Sound off (civilly) with your thoughts about Eva Marie below.
