Minor League Baseball Fan Makes Catch of the Year, Smashes Face in Process
One fan was so eager to catch a home run ball at a minor league game that he nearly rearranged his face trying to grab it.
Dakota Gardner of MLB.com's Cut 4 spotted what has to be the greatest catch of the year. At the very least, it's the greatest catch by a guy who bounces up after nearly smashing out all of his teeth.
Before we continue, CJ Fogler would like to help you out with where you may have seen this guy before.

The catch came after Jorge Martinez of the Lake County Captains homered off the Dayton Dragons' Sal Romano. Sadly, that has to go down as the most forgettable home run in baseball history, because nobody can take their eyes off the web gem that went down behind the fence.
You really have to give this eager man some credit. Very few of us would be inclined to get out of our seat for a major league home run, much less one hit by a minor leaguer from the visiting team.
This fan is chiseled from far tougher material, because he doesn't even notice the fact he smashed his face in grabbing his most prized treasure.
As the Cut 4 report noticed and you no doubt witnessed, things take an adorable if not startling turn as a bunch of animals show us their shocked faces.
I assume this is a direct feed from what fans might see on the stadium's Jumbotron, because the lineup of startled cats and other animals precedes an instant replay.
Whatever—I'm not actually trying to understand why cats, critters and dogs are staring at me, nor am I trying to figure out what possesses someone to sprint after and lay out for a minor league dinger.
It's far easier to ignore your need to understand and just enjoy what is both the greatest and most unfortunate web gem produced by a fan in a Blue's Clues shirt ever.
