Red Sox Slugger David Ortiz Educates Fans on Finer Points of Speaking Boston
Big Papi plays for the "Sacks" and can sometimes lose his "tempah."
There is hardly a more beloved athlete in all of Boston (Baaahhston?) than David Ortiz, so it makes sense that the Dish Network would ask the Red Sox slugger to teach others the way of the Boston accent for their Talk Boston campaign.
"Teezy" (as his friends call him) is just flawless—in his own special way. Perhaps not as authentic as the native Bostonians in Dish's Hopper (or "Hoppa") commercial, Papi could indeed have a career teaching Boston as a second language when he finally retires—which at this rate shouldn't be for another 20 or so years.

Livvy Dunne Explains Trending Reaction 🤣
At the relatively ancient age of 37, Ortiz is batting .332 with 21 home runs. That means the current season is the 12th year in a row that Big Papi has clubbed 20 or more home runs.
Essentially, what he says goes.
If he says Dominican cigars are better than "Cubir" ones or that you still have to run when you hit a "wahk-off," I am inclined to believe him.
Of course, we are just glad he didn't decide to use that thick Boston accent to show off his firm grasp of how to properly shout an F-bomb at the camera.
We will now leave you to use the rest of the day to perfect the brilliance and fine inflection that is Ortiz and his purely Boston language.
If knowledge is power, Ortiz just gave fans a linguistic arsenal to use.
