Braves and Nationals Bro Down on Twitter After Bryce Harper Gets Hit by Pitch
Don’t come at him, bro. You don’t want to tangle with that chupacabra.
Bryce Harper isn’t a man known for his zen-like qualities, and throwing at him is a super effective way to provoke a fit of bro rage—even if he deserves it.
The Washington Nationals were facing off against the Atlanta Braves when a carefully placed pitch from Braves pitcher Julio Teheran tagged Harper in the leg. The pitch came as retribution for Harper slowly walking off a third-inning home run, and the Braves made sure to let the youngster know at his next at-bat.

Here's the solo shot that earned Harper the painful pitch.
Was it bad enough to warrant a pitch at the body? Harper didn't think so, and a stream of handpicked words poured from the 20-year-old superstar's mouth on his way to first base.

Harper’s reaction was spotted by Nate Scott of USA Today and featured all the finger-pointing and bro rage you would expect.

Here’s the clean transcription of Harper’s words:
“Ash mole! Vacuum! Das bush league! Yea! Das bush league! Vacuum! WHAT!”
The jawing continued down the first base line and both benches emptied onto the field.
No blows were thrown, but the pointing and posturing that ensued resulted in one of the biggest bro downs in recent MLB history.
The bro down wasn’t over, however, and hostilities poured over into the only realm where two parties can finish things once and for all.
There was... a Twitter fight!

The first shot was taken by Braves legend Chipper Jones, who had some fatherly advice for Harper—stop being cocky.
The Braves account followed Chipper up with a vintage line taken directly from the Bryce Harper Vault of Quotable Genius.
At this point, shots had been fired and the streets of Twitter were amok with Harper hate. Only one account could set this scene straight—@Nationals.
With that, the battle was over.
Who won? The Braves, technically. Atlanta ended up beating the Nationals 2-1.
The Internet skirmish, however, might’ve belonged to the Nats.
