Hungarian Grand Prix 2013: Results and Times for Practice and Qualifying Races
Sebastian Vettel enters the Hungarian Grand Prix on a roll. The Red Bull-Renault driver has won four of the season's nine races, including the German Grand Prix earlier in the month, and leads the overall standings by 34 points over Fernando Alonso.
Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton and Vettel's teammate Mark Webber round out the top five heading into the 10th race of the 19-race season. They must start to close the gap before the German star runs away with the points title.
The race is scheduled for Sunday, but first there are two days of practice and qualifying at the Hungaroring. Two practices will take place on Friday followed by one more on Saturday leading up to the qualifying runs later in the day.
Let's take a look at the results for all the preparations, which will be updated as the results come in over the next few days.
Practice 1 Results
1 of 4Although it's still early in the racing week, Sebastian Vettel looks ready for another dominant showing. He ran the second-fewest practice laps of the 22 drivers, but still produced the top time by more than two-tenths of a second.
Teammate Mark Webber was second in the first practice. The only driver inside the top five of the overall standings who had a subpar performance was Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, who was nearly a second and a half off the pace.
Romain Grosjean, who sits in eight place, had a solid opening run. He's one of just four drivers within a half-second of Vettel. He could really use a great finish on Sunday if he wants to start making a charge up the standings before it's too late.

Practice 2 Results
2 of 4Sebastian Vettel used an improved time in the second practice session to maintain his edge over teammate Mark Webber, who closed the gap to less than one-tenth of a second. The Red Bull-Renault drivers dominated Friday's action.
Romain Grosjean made the jump from fifth to third in Practice 2, establishing himself as a legitimate contender heading into the weekend. Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa filled out the top five, both within striking distance of Vettel.
Lewis Hamilton, who finished outside the top 10 in the first practice, bounced back to finish sixth. He was just over a half-second behind the leader, leaving some work to do in the third practice on Saturday, but he's trending in the right direction.

Practice 3 Results
3 of 4The Red Bull-Renault team wasn't able to carry its Friday dominance into the final practice session. Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were the top two drivers in both sessions, but fell to fourth and seventh, respectively.
It opened the door for Romain Grosjean, who's been a looming threat throughout the Hungaroring practices, to take the top spot. Fernando Alonso was the only driver to finish within three-tenths of a second of the Lotus star.
Sergio Perez in third, Felipe Massa in fifth and Lewis Hamilton in sixth rounded out the top finishers in the final practice. With all three sessions complete, all that's left is qualifying later in the day and racing the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Qualifying Results
4 of 4Lewis Hamilton continued his tremendous qualifying streak by capturing his third straight pole. Despite middling practice results, the British driver stepped up when in mattered. Now he must find a way to improve on race day. He has no wins despite four starts from the pole in 2013.
Hamilton edged out Sebastian Vettel. The current standings leader will start second. Romain Grosjean, Nico Rosberg and Fernando Alonso round out the top five. Grosjean has looked strong throughout the week so far.
Mark Webber will start 10th after a forgettable Saturday. He couldn't carry any momentum over from his strong showing on Friday. That said, if he can bounce back with a good finish on Sunday, the poor qualifying run becomes an afterthought.
Here's a complete look at the Hungarian Grand Prix's starting order:
