Barcelona World Championship 2013: Breaking Down Top Nations So Far
The 2013 Barcelona World Championship continued on Thursday, as some of the top nations in the world racked up more medals.
Whether it was in the open water competitions or the diving competitions, there has been plenty of gold to go around so far.
Of course, some nations aren't so willing to give up the gold. One nation already has 13 medals (including six gold) through Thursday.

Here's a breakdown of the top nations so far in the 2013 Barcelona World Championship.
Germany
Germany has earned five medals (two gold, one silver, two bronze) through Thursday.
That includes four medals in the open water competitions (one gold, one silver, two bronze) and one gold in the diving competitions.
In the open water competitions, Thomas Peter Lurz won a silver in the men's 10 kilometer and grabbed a bronze in the men's five kilometer, and Angela Alexandra Maurer won a bronze in the women's 10 kilometer. Germany also won the team event in the five kilometer.
In the diving competitions, Sascha Klein and Patrick Hausding won gold in the men's 10-meter synchronized platform.
Russia
Russia won seven medals (five gold, two silver) through Thursday.
That included five gold medals in the synchronized swimming competitions and two silver medals in the diving competitions.
Svetlana Romashina won in the solo and solo technical, Romashina and Svetlana Kolesnichenko won the duet and the duet technical, and Russia won the team technical.
China
Last but certainly not least, we have China, which took home 13 medals (six gold, five silver, two bronze) through Thursday.
Nine of the 13 medals came in the diving competitions. That included gold in the women's three-meter synchronized springboard, the men's one-meter springboard, the women's 10-meter synchronized platform, the women's one-meter springboard, the men's three-meter synchronized springboard and the women's 10-meter platform.
China captured four silver medals in the synchronized swimming competitions. That included silvers in the solo and solo technical, and the duet and duet technical.
