Dwight Howard Has Some Big Shoes to Fill in Houston

All consideration of his talent aside, Dwight Howard has a lot to live up to as Houston's next starting center.

Yes, that's Dwight in the middle, looking downright small standing next to some of Houston's greatest big men: Yao Ming, Ralph Sampson, Hakeem Olajuwon and Elvin Hayes.

More photos of the Rockets' legendary centers show that it wasn't just a lighting issue; some of these guys literally tower over the 6'11" Howard.

For comparison, here's Dwight next to Rockets owner Leslie Alexander.

Maybe you should stay seated when possible, D12.

Note: Ming (19.0 PPG, 9.2 RPG), Sampson (15.4 PPG, 8.8 RPG, Olajuwon (21.8 PPG, 11.1 RPG) and Hayes (21.0 PPG, 12.5 RPG) all had pretty comparable career numbers to Howard (18.3 PPG, 12.9 RPG), so at least he's got that going for him.
