Why Didier Drogba Should be Ashamed of Himself
On Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea and Barcelona met in the second leg of their Champions League semifinal.
Early on in the game, Michael Essien scored a brilliant goal for Chelsea, and they held the lead until the third minute of stoppage time, when Andres Iniesta's shot beat Petr Cech, tied the game at 1-1, and gave Barcelona the lead on aggregate, because of their away goal.
Michael Ballack had a shot on goal several minutes later that hit a Barcelona defender on the arm, but referee Tom Ovrebo did what he did all night with incidents inside the box; he denied the appeal and waved play on. Because of that, the game ended in a 1-1 draw, and Barcelona advanced to the Champions League final.

But, perhaps the most memorable part of the game happened after the final whistle, as Chelsea's Didier Drogba went nuts at Tom Ovrebo.
The big Ivory Coast international was furious about the missed calls that were inside the box, two of which involved Dorgba, but the appeals were denied on both occasions.
Drogba was taken off in the 72nd minute, and he had to sit and watch further incidents unfold. After Drogba was shown a yellow card, he continued to abuse Ovrebo, and had to be held back by the UEFA security guards.
As he was getting escorted off the field, Drogba's behavior became even worse, as he broke away from the security officers, ran up to a Sky Sports cameraman, and said: "This is a disgrace, a f***ing disgrace!" before leaving the pitch.
Personally, I think that Drogba displayed terrible behavior yet again in an important Champions League match. Of course, last year we saw this kind of conduct in the final, when he slapped Nemanja Vidic in the face, right in front of the referee.
Before this incident, Drogba was one of the most hated footballers in the world, and this further cements his position.
Finally, I think that Drogba should get a multiple game suspension for his behavior from UEFA, as it is totally unacceptable. Not only did he curse at hundreds of millions of fans, he also said it in front of children, some of which consider him to be an idol.
Also, going after a referee, even after they just blew a game, is completely unacceptable. Drogba should face severe consequences for what he did.
