With the sports industry and the entertainment industry both growing at exponential rates, we've seen an increase in sport-specific television networks, and lately, team-specific networks as well.

We now have a network for all four major sports. The Yankees have their own network, the Red Sox do as well, and to a lesser extent a network has the Cubs. However, in the most popular sport (NFL), their is no national network for a specific team.

So I propose that the Washington Redskins become the first. The fan base is pretty sizable. They have the largest stadium in the NFL, until Jerry Jones's mega mall/football stadium/airport terminal/five-star hotel opens up in August.

With this proposal I have come up with a programming schedule for what would likely be the most viewed network on television, and it follows as such:

12:00 A.M.-5:00 A.M.    Dan Snyder's Investment Infomercial Bonanza

Got a case of insomnia and an extra $50 Million? Then let our prestigious owner entertain you with ideas of ways to spend your money.

There are plenty of investment opportunities to be had. Red Zebra Broadcasting, Six Flags, Johnny Rockets, Dick Clark Productions, the English Premier League and many more exciting ventures await you!

*Guest appearance by Vinny Cerrato (no speaking lines)

5:00 A.M.-9:00 A.M.   Larry Michael's Morning News

Watch as the voice of the Redskins puts in just a few more hours of work in for the Redskins Media Department as he hosts the morning news for the brand new Network.

*Co-Hosted by former voice Frank Herzog

9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.   Redskins Re-Play (Greatest Hits)

Now on a daily basis, you can re-live the greatest moments in Redskins history. Including John Riggins' infamous 43 yard run through the Dolphins to win Super Bowl XVII and Darrell Green's 52 yard punt return for a touchdown against the Bears in the 1987 Divisional Playoffs.

12:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M.   Redskins Re-Play (Greatest Misses)

Why not spend your lunch time watching hilarious antics from past Redskins games. Watch Gus Frerotte's head as it bangs into a wall and Michael Westbrook's come completely off his body as the Redskins play to a tie against New York in 1997. As a matter of fact, most of the games shown on this program will be from the mid-1990's.

3:00 P.M.-3:10 P.M.   Redskins Best Draft Picks (1990-1998)

Watch the old footage of football legends being picked in the draft. Such as Bobby Wilson, Desmond Howard, Tom Carter, Heath Shuler, Michael Westbrook, Andre Johnson, and Kenard Lang begin their fantastic careers. Then watch as Keenan McCardell, Frank Wychek, and Stephen Davis enjoy nice careers away from Washington.

3:10 P.M.-4:00 P.M.   Redskins Best Draft Picks (1999-Present)

This much longer version of the previous program highlights the Redskins draft picks from the last ten years and their success. For a team that 'doesn't know how to draft' has selected players like Champ Bailey, Jon Jansen, Lavar Arrington, Chris Samuels, Fred Smoot, Ladell Betts, Rock Cartwright, Derrick Dockery, Sean Taylor, Chris Cooley, Carlos Rogers, Rocky McIntosh, Anthony Montgomery, Reed Doughty, Kedric Golston, Laron Landry, and Chris Horton actually start football games.

4:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.   The Commercial Hour!

Hey, gotta make money at some point during the day, right?

5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.   The Nightly News: Presented By FedEx, Johnny Rockets, Six Flags, Budweiser, and once again FedEx

In lieu of sleep, Larry Michael makes his return to the network in the evening as well to give you the rundown on what has happened in the last eight hours since you've last seen him.

*During the off-season before the free-agency period, it will be a re-play of the morning news

8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M.   Sonny Jurgensen and Sam Huff's Happy Hour

The two former football greats and current Redskins analysts sit in studio and discuss the good old days of football and complain about everything that is the sport of football.

9:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M.   The Portis Family

The brand-new sitcom features Clinton Portis disguised in his multiple personalities to help out the Washington D.C. community.

*On tonight's episode, Sheriff Gonna Getcha teams up with David Caruso to solve a murder case.

10:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M.   The John Riggins Night Cap

Immerse yourself on the beautiful mind that is John Riggins as he sits in a quiet studio with nothing but a camera, himself, and special nightly guest stars.

*On tonight's episode, Riggo welcomes Sandra Day O'Connor!

11:00 P.M.-12:00 A.M.   Cooley Live!

View Chris Cooley in his natural habitat through his web-cam every night as he entertains the masses with antics

*Viewer Discretion Strongly Advised...very Strongly.
