Tottenham's Gareth Bale Gets Times Square Billboard in New York

After a summer of frantic transfer speculation, Tottenham would probably rather Gareth Bale was hidden from public view.

But NBC isn't playing along. The broadcasting company posted a giant billboard of the Welsh wing wizard in Times Square in New York City, in mid-goal celebration and in plain sight of swaths of tourists.

NBC is using Bale to push its coverage of the 2013-14 Premier League season in the U.S.
