Equipment Needs For Stafford and Sanchez

As you know, Matthew Staffford and Mark Sanchez are now considered to be the saviors of the Lions and Jets respectively. They are the quarterbacks that will take their teams to the promised land. They both have huge contracts and will be expected to perform up to them.

With all that pressure how exactly will these guys prepare for their rookie seasons. Well, my suggestion is that they use some of that money to purchase some of this much needed equipment that every rookie quarterback should have.

Clipboard

This is an absolute necessity. These guys will be expected to take great stats and notes. They need a nice clipboard to help them do their job.

Sharpies

Unlike Terrell Owens, these guys won't be pulling them out of their socks after a touchdown. Instead they will go through many of them during 16 weeks of carrying that clipboard. They will probably have writer's cramp in the worst way at the end of the year.

Headset

This is another must have for any rookie QB. They need to hear the play from the offensive coordinator so they can signal it in to either Duante Culpepper or Kellen Clemons. They should really shop around for this item. Only the best headset will help them have a successful rookie season.

Ice packs

They will need hundreds of these. They will be running the scout offense in practice against the starting defense. Needless to say, they will take a beating like they have never seen before. These ice packs will come in handy so they will be ready on Sundays. After all, Stafford and Sanchez will need healthy hands and arms to take stats and signal in plays.

Playbook

This piece of equipment they should get really familiar with. Before Stafford or Sanchez ever take a snap in a regular season game, they should know this inside and out. Their playbook should go with them wherever they go.

Coffee

They will need lots of this. They will spend lots of time in the film room. Many of it will be by themselves. In order for a QB to perfect his craft, he has to be able to break down film. Coffee will help Stafford and Sanchez stay awake during long film sessions.

There you are. Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez can have successful rookie seasons if they purchase all of these items. I just hope they can shop well with all the money they will have.
